Comrades Tran Trong Dung and Tran Van Duc congratulated the award-winning authors. |
The award is organized by the Ministry of Industry and Trade in coordination with the Vietnam Journalists Association, within the framework of the National Program on economical and efficient use of energy for the 2019-2030 period approved by the Prime Minister.
Although it was not implemented for a long time, with a specialized topic, this year's Award attracted hundreds of works from many types of journalism: print newspapers, electronic newspapers, radio, television and video clips of journalists, collaborators and informants across the country.
This clearly demonstrates the interest, responsibility and enthusiasm of the press towards the major policy of the Party and State on energy saving - a task that is both urgent and has long-term significance for socio-economic development and environmental protection.

Since the Award was launched, the Organizing Committee has received positive responses from central and local press agencies. The works that made it to the preliminary and final rounds all truly, creatively and profoundly reflect the achievements in the work of using energy economically and efficiently.
Many articles have vividly depicted typical models, good practices, and practical initiatives, from the community scale to businesses, industrial parks, green buildings, green cities... At the same time, many works also raised difficulties, challenges, and solutions for using energy economically and effectively in the coming time.
According to the Jury, the quality of this year's works is more even, diverse and in-depth, with many rich topics. In particular, the outstanding participation of local press agencies and young reporters has brought a new breeze to the award, with works presented in a modern, attractive form and with high propaganda value.
After an objective, serious and impartial working process, the Preliminary Council selected 74 works out of a total of 477 works that were eligible to be judged in the Final Round. The Final Council selected 40 best works to award prizes. Of which, Bac Ninh Newspaper and Radio and Television won the A prize with the series of articles "Industrial development associated with electricity saving" by the group of authors Trinh Thi Lan - Le The Phuong.
The work clearly depicts the picture of strong industrial growth in Bac Ninh province, especially after the administrative boundary merger between Bac Ninh (old) and Bac Giang, forming a new Bac Ninh considered a "super industrial" province with high demand for electricity consumption.
Faced with that reality, domestic enterprises, foreign investors and people have proactively responded to the policy of saving electricity and using energy efficiently, contributing to ensuring the safety of the power system and maintaining stable production and business.
The work also reflects flexible and drastic solutions in the direction and management of Bac Ninh province; and acknowledges the efforts of the local electricity sector in ensuring a stable power supply to serve socio-economic development.
At the same time, the work also presents the province's strategic vision on developing renewable energy in the future, solutions for exploiting solar and wind power to build a green, sustainable industry and adapt to the global energy transition trend.
