National conference on training on artificial intelligence (AI) applications for cadres at all levels of Party committees and agencies

On September 9 and 10, the Central Party Office - Standing Agency of the Central Steering Committee on Science, Technology, Innovation and Digital Transformation organized a National Conference on training on the application of artificial intelligence (AI) for officials of Party committees and agencies at all levels (phase 1).

The conference was connected online to nearly 4,000 points at the central, provincial and communal levels nationwide.

At the bridge point of the Party Committee of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, there was the participation of Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Tuan Linh and comrades who are members of the Executive Committee, members of the Inspection Committee of the Party Committee of the Ministry; leaders, cadres, civil servants of the advisory and support departments of the Party Committee of the Ministry; and Party committees of 58 affiliated Party organizations.

The national conference on training on the application of artificial intelligence (AI) for officials at all levels of Party committees and agencies was connected online to nearly 4,000 points at the central, provincial and communal levels across the country.

Speaking at the opening of the conference, Mr. Vo Thanh Hung, Deputy Head of the Party Central Office, said that implementing Resolution 57 of the Politburo on breakthroughs in science, technology, innovation and digital transformation, the Party Central Office has issued Plan No. 169, organizing a training conference with synchronous and unified requirements from the Central to the grassroots level. The goal is to ensure "the same message - the same awareness - the same standards" in applying AI to the work of Party committee and agency cadres.

In the context of national digital transformation entering an accelerated phase, AI is not only a tool to improve productivity but also a core capacity to modernize the Party's leadership, direction and administration methods; contributing to improving the quality of advice, shortening work processing time, building professional, transparent, effective and efficient Party committees and agencies.

"In that spirit, the Central Party Office organized a national training conference on the application of artificial intelligence for cadres, Party Committees and Party agencies, in both direct and online forms, connecting nearly 4,000 points nationwide," said Mr. Vo Thanh Hung.

Deputy Chief of the Party Central Office Vo Thanh Hung also said that the three key objectives of the training conference include:

One is to raise awareness of the role, potential and orientation of AI application in the work of Party committees and advisory bodies at all levels, from research, synthesis to implementation and supervision.

Second, equipping comrades with basic knowledge and skills so that they can proficiently use some popular AI tools to serve consulting, synthesizing, analyzing documents, building plans and reporting.

Third is to form the right attitude and responsibility in using AI safely and securely, complying with Party regulations and State laws, in line with political and ideological orientation.

According to Deputy Chief of the Party Central Committee Office Vo Thanh Hung, the conference was organized in a practical, easy-to-understand, easy-to-apply manner, focusing on real-life situations; at the same time, it will survey and measure effectiveness to serve as a basis for synthesizing and implementing the next steps.

During the 2 working days, the conference will be presented by lecturers and guided by an overview of AI, major trends and application scenarios in Party work; practice with some popular AI tools; discuss topics on ethics, law, security, prevention of information misinformation risks; summarize, share experiences, and orient application deployment at each agency and unit...

  Applying AI technology in training to improve sports performance in 4 key sports

The Deputy Head of the Party Central Office also proposed a number of important principles. First, comply with regulations on information security and confidentiality; do not put confidential documents or sensitive data of the Party and State on the AI ​​platform. Second, use AI responsibly, set goals to serve the work, regularly verify results, consider AI as a support tool and not a replacement for independent thinking, political qualities and speech discipline of cadres and party members.

At the conference, senior lecturers and main lecturers of the University of Technology, Vietnam National University, Hanoi thoroughly covered the following topics: Overview and role of AI in Party work (basic concepts, development trends, scenarios for applying AI in research, consulting, synthesizing, and analyzing documents); learning about popular AI tools today (ChatGPT, Gemini, Notion AI, Canva AI); practicing with ChatGPT in supporting work (research, consulting, synthesizing; analyzing documents from multiple sources; building reports and plans). Learners were also thoroughly informed about the principles of use; ethical, legal, and security issues when using AI; discussing situations of security violations, information distortion, etc.

The conference contributes to raising awareness of the role, potential and orientation of AI application in innovation, improving the effectiveness and efficiency of the work of cadres, civil servants and public employees at Party committees and agencies; equipping learners with basic knowledge and skills in using some popular AI tools to support tasks such as: Consulting, synthesizing information, analyzing documents, preparing drafts and proposing solutions for work. At the same time, contributing to forming the right attitude and responsibility in using AI safely, securely, in line with political and legal orientations in the context of digital transformation.

As planned, the conference will be held in phase 2 on September 11 and 12.
