(QNO) - This morning, June 1, the Nam Tra My District Farmers' Association held the 12th Congress of Delegates for the 2023-2028 term, with the participation of 122 delegates representing more than 4,850 members in the district.
During the past term, cadres and farmers' union members of Nam Tra My district promoted their sense of responsibility, actively participated in national target programs, new rural areas, sustainable poverty reduction programs, population planning, development of Ngoc Linh ginseng, Tra My cinnamon and other medicinal plants...
Over the past 5 years, the association at all levels has built 45 pilot models, organized seminars for more than 205 grassroots cadres, branches, and groups, and 15,100 members and farmers. As a result, 64 collectives and individuals have made outstanding achievements in association work and the farmers' movement, and 852 farmer households have achieved the title of excellent farmers in production and business at the district level.
Up to now, the whole district has 31 savings and loan groups operating effectively, with outstanding loans of over 50 billion VND, an increase of 30% compared to the beginning of the term, helping over 1,250 farming households and policy beneficiaries borrow capital to invest in production development.
Mobilizing funds to build model new rural residential clusters and groups of 1.2 billion VND, mobilizing people to voluntarily donate tens of hectares of land, trees, crops and hundreds of thousands of working days to build 30km of concrete roads, flower roads, and plant trees along village roads...
The Congress elected 19 people to the Executive Committee of the Farmers' Association of Nam Tra My district, term XII; Mr. Huynh Ho Tanh was re-elected as Chairman of the Farmers' Association of the district.
