Hanoi Book Fair 2025 has the theme "Thang Long

On April 4, the Hanoi People's Committee issued a plan to organize the 10th Hanoi Book Fair - 2025.

Accordingly, the 10th Hanoi Book Fair is a practical activity to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025) and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025), and the 71st anniversary of the Liberation of the Capital (October 10, 1954 - October 10, 2025).

This activity also aims to promote the nation's historical, cultural and revolutionary traditions, arouse patriotism, self-reliance, national solidarity and the aspiration to develop a prosperous and happy country; and be proud of the thousand-year-old heroic and cultural tradition of Thang Long - Hanoi.

The Book Fair is an opportunity to continue to effectively promote reading culture development activities, to build and encourage reading habits and develop the reading movement in the community, towards building a learning society, contributing to building elegant and civilized Hanoians.

The 10th Hanoi Book Fair - 2025 is directed by the Hanoi People's Committee and organized by the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports . There will be activities such as displaying and exhibiting books and documents about Thang Long - Hanoi; technological products, innovation, creativity, digital transformation applications in publishing activities according to the book fair theme to promote the significance of major holidays of the country and the Capital, thereby consolidating and fostering the confidence of the people of the Capital in the cause of national innovation, and being proud of the thousand-year-old culture and heroic tradition of Thang Long - Hanoi.

It is expected that there will be about 50 units including domestic and foreign publishers and distribution enterprises with 250-300 booths at the book fair.

During the book fair, there will be discussions, book launches, copyright transactions and exchanges; opening mobile library spaces; guiding readers to register for online library cards at the book fair; organizing exhibitions and introducing the "E-bookcase of Van Mieu - Quoc Tu Giam" including books about the Van Mieu - Quoc Tu Giam relic, the tradition of studiousness, famous scholars and cultural experience activities...
