Workshop "Post-harvest technology for high economic value fruit products in Dak Lak province"

On the morning of October 8, 2025, at the Conference Hall of the Center for Information and Application of Science and Technology of Dak Lak province, the Workshop on Connecting Technology Supply and Demand took place, with the theme: "Post-harvest technology for fruit products with high economic value", organized by the Center for Information and Application of Science and Technology under the direction of the Department of Science and Technology of Dak Lak province, in response to the National Innovation Day on October 1 and to carry out the task of connecting technology supply and demand in 2025.

Attending the workshop were Mr. Pham Gia Viet, Deputy Director of the Department of Science and Technology of Dak Lak province, Mr. Le Dang Pha, Director of the Center for Information - Application of Science and Technology, together with representatives of institutes, schools, enterprises, cooperatives, specialized departments under the Department of Science and Technology, fruit production establishments, wards, communes and science and technology units in the province.

Mr. Le Dang Pha, Director of the Center for Information and Application of Science and Technology, delivered the opening speech.

In his opening speech, Mr. Le Dang Pha, Director of the Center for Information - Application of Science and Technology of Dak Lak province, affirmed that the application and innovation of technology in the post-harvest stage is of particular importance to the process of improving quality, increasing value, extending preservation time and expanding the consumption market for agricultural products of the province. He emphasized that this is an inevitable direction to promote the potential and advantages of key fruit products such as durian, passion fruit, avocado, contributing to the development of high-tech and sustainable agriculture in Dak Lak.

Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Anh Tuan, former Head of the Department of Food Technology - Nha Trang University presented the paper "Automation of durian processing and preservation process - Effective technological solution for businesses"

At the Workshop, experts and scientists presented many practical papers, focusing on technological solutions to improve the quality, value and competitiveness of the province's key fruit products such as durian, passion fruit, avocado, etc. Specifically: Automating the processing and preservation of durian - Effective technological solutions for businesses; Processing and preservation technology of durian and passion fruit to meet export standards; Modern processing solutions to enhance the value of post-harvest products.

Delegates attending the workshop had a lively discussion, shared many practical experiences and proposed feasible solutions in applying technology, mechanizing production, linking businesses - scientists - farmers to form an effective agricultural value chain, towards high-tech, sustainable and environmentally friendly agriculture.

The presentations and opinions at the Workshop provided a lot of information, experience and models of applying advanced technology, helping businesses, cooperatives and farmers improve product quality, prolong preservation time, expand consumption markets, contributing to increasing the value of agricultural products of the province.
