On the afternoon of October 5, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thien Van inspected the field of mineral mines used for common construction materials in the eastern part of Dak Lak. Accompanying him were leaders of the Provincial People's Committee Office; leaders of relevant departments, branches and localities.

Accordingly, the working delegation inspected the construction stone quarry, Cay Me quarry (Hoa Xuan commune), Da Rang river construction sand quarry (Tay Hoa commune), and Hoa Phu soil quarry (Son Thanh commune).

Specifically, the construction stone quarry (Hoa Xuan commune) has an area of ​​45 hectares, with an estimated reserve of about 4 million m³ by 2030. Cay Me quarry (Hoa Xuan commune) has an area of ​​60.24 hectares, with an estimated reserve of about 6 million m³. The Da Rang river construction sand quarry (Tay Hoa commune) has an area of ​​70.48 hectares, with a reserve of 2 million m³. Hoa Phu soil quarry (Son Thanh commune) has an area of ​​18,836 hectares, with a reserve of nearly 952,948 m³ and a reserve of accompanying minerals (rolled boulders) of 290,675 m³.

According to the Department of Agriculture and Environment, currently, mineral mines in the area basically meet all criteria on planning, legal documents and mining reserves. The organization of auctions for mineral exploitation rights is carried out publicly and transparently. At the same time, this activity also provides a stable source of construction materials for infrastructure projects, thereby promoting sustainable socio -economic development of the province.

At the inspection session, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thien Van requested relevant units to pay attention to closely linking construction material exploitation activities with environmental protection. Enterprises need to seriously fulfill their obligations regarding land reclamation, environmental and landscape restoration after exploitation to ensure harmonious and sustainable development.

The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee assigned the Department of Agriculture and Environment to coordinate with local authorities to strengthen inspection and closely monitor mineral exploitation activities; promptly detect and strictly handle violations; resolutely revoke licenses for mining units that do not comply with regulations. In addition, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also requested enterprises to regularly update and improve mining technology, increase productivity and operational efficiency, while ensuring labor safety and actively contributing to the province's socio-economic development goals in a sustainable direction.
