Workshop "Historical works of the People's Armed Forces of Hue City in the period 1945 - 2025"

Attending the workshop were: Colonel Ngo Nam Cuong, Deputy Commander of Military Region 4; Colonel Thai Duc Hanh, Deputy Chief of Political Affairs of the Military Region. Colonel Hoang Van Nhan, Deputy Secretary of the Military Party Committee, Political Commissar of the Hue City Military Command chaired the workshop.

After more than 01 year of implementation and research organization, the Standing Committee of the Party Committee - City Military Command, together with the Steering Committee and the Editorial Board, developed plans and organized the exploitation of sources of documents inside and outside the city, on that basis, developed detailed outlines of the topics and the entire project, and sought opinions and approval from the Scientific Council before starting to research and compile the manuscript. Up to now, the manuscript of the project has been completed on schedule.

Colonel Hoang Van Nhan - Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Political Commissar of the City Military Command chaired the Workshop.

The manuscript "History of the People's Armed Forces of Hue City 1945 - 2025" consists of 2 parts and 4 chapters. Part I: The People's Armed Forces of Thua Thien Hue during the revolutionary war period (1945 - 1975). Part II: The People's Armed Forces of Hue City during the period of peace, defending the Fatherland.

In the 4 chapters of the draft, chapter 1: Historical process of the People's Armed Forces of Thua Thien Hue in the resistance war against French colonialism (1945 - 1954); chapter 2: People's Armed Forces of Thua Thien Hue in the resistance war against the US to save the country (1954 - 1975); chapter 3: People's Armed Forces of Thua Thien Hue overcome the consequences of war, build a strong position, protect the Fatherland (1975 - 2000) and chapter 4: People's Armed Forces of Hue City develop strongly according to the Party's innovation policy (2021 - 2025).

Major General Dang Ngoc Nghia - Former Standing Member of the National Assembly's National Defense and Security Committee spoke at the Workshop.

At the workshop, delegates also discussed and contributed many important and enthusiastic opinions, close to the reality of each historical period and the 80-year process of building, fighting and growing of the City's Armed Forces.

Colonel Ngo Nam Cuong - Deputy Commander of the Military Region gave a speech at the Workshop.

Speaking at the Conference, Colonel Ngo Nam Cuong, Deputy Commander of the Military Region, acknowledged and highly appreciated the Party Committee, the City Military Command and the Editorial Team in building a draft of the historical work in a tight, thoughtful, comprehensive and in-depth manner. The draft clearly demonstrated the development process throughout the history of the City Armed Forces.

However, as a project of special importance, the Deputy Commander of the Military Region requested the City Military Command to continue researching and collecting comments from researchers and historical witnesses to compile the project in a scientific, rigorous, objective and accurate manner, meeting the expectations of officers, soldiers and people. In particular, it is necessary to complete the project soon in time for the 80th anniversary of the Traditional Day of the City Armed Forces.
