The province continues to develop community tourism products to explore cultural identity, traditional arts, customs, ethnic costumes, and residential areas of Muong, Thai, Dao, Tay, Mong ethnic minorities... in Lac village (Mai Ha commune); Hang Kia, Cha Day, Pa Co villages (Pa Co commune); Sung village (Cao Son commune). In addition, the province focuses on developing MICE tourism products in urban centers with a system of hotels, large halls, high-class utility services combined with organizing regional, national and international scale events; paying attention to building eco-tourism products, adventure sports, trekking, cycling, mountain climbing, rowing activities associated with national parks and valuable natural tourist attractions, such as: Xuan Son National Park, Tam Dao, Ao Chau, Ao Gioi - Suoi Tien; Dai Lai Lake, Xa Huong, Hoa Binh Lake, Thung Nai, Mai Chau... Exploiting the advantages of typical historical - cultural relic sites (such as: Hung Temple Historical Relic Site, Muong Cultural Museum, Heritage Park of Vietnamese Scientists...) associated with traditional education, learning about the value of intangible cultural heritages combined with activities to experience craft villages, agricultural production, unique folk games...

In the first 6 months of 2025, the province's tourism activities grew quite well. Destinations attracted tens of millions of visitors to visit and experience. The number of overnight guests tended to increase again, estimated at 2.9 million, contributing to a total tourism revenue increase of 11% on average over the same period in 2024.

According to Ms. Vu Thi Hoai Phuong - Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism: Building tourism product chains is a key factor, of great significance in developing sustainable tourism, bringing many economic, social and environmental benefits. Accordingly, tourism product chains help enhance the experience for tourists, create added value, improve competitiveness and promote the image of destinations.

In addition to the orientation of building a chain of key tourism products, the province is promoting promotional activities to bring the image of the homeland closer to domestic and international tourists. In particular, effectively maintaining tourism communication channels such as: Smart tourism information portal, Phu Tho Tourism electronic information page, Phu Tho Tourism fanpage and zalo... Attractive destinations, potential tourism advantages of the province are widely communicated to help tourists access information in an official, convenient and effective way, contributing to expanding the market and promoting tourism activities.

The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism focuses on propaganda through publications, leaflets, brochures, videos introducing destinations, accommodation facilities, cultural beauty of local people and on media as well as at events, conferences, seminars, tourism festivals in the region and across the country; actively participate in events and trade fairs to promote Phu Tho tourism; strengthen the organization of many unique cultural - tourism events, typically festivals: Hung Temple, Hung Lo, Tro Tram, Tien Pagoda, Khai Ha of Muong ethnic group, Tay Thien, Water Procession; Phu Tho Culture - Tourism Week 2025... Thereby, not only preserving and promoting traditional cultural identity but also attracting the participation of tourism businesses and media agencies, creating a positive spillover effect.

The industry advocates organizing famtrips and presstrips, inviting travel agencies and media agencies to attend tourism stimulus programs; focusing on surveying destinations and building new tourism products; strengthening cooperation in developing tourism in 8 expanded Northwestern provinces and Ho Chi Minh City; building a digital map of Phu Tho tourism in a new development space to increase convenience and update information for tourists when learning about Phu Tho tourism; promoting communication in combination with Influencers to introduce destinations on social networking platforms.
