(BLC) - On the afternoon of August 13, the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department coordinated with the Provincial Political School to organize a scientific workshop with the theme "Improving the quality of political theory education (LLCT) in Lai Chau province at present - Issues arising in the coming time".

In his report to introduce the workshop, comrade Nguyen Tien Tang - Principal of the Provincial Political School stated: The workshop is an activity to summarize practices and study theories of great significance to Lai Chau province, especially on the occasion of the 79th anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2024), the 75th anniversary of the founding of the Lai Chau Provincial Party Committee (October 10, 1949 - October 10, 2024), preparing for the Party Congresses at all levels for the 2025-2030 term, towards the 14th National Congress of the Party. Thoroughly grasping the Party's guiding viewpoints on political theory work, the Provincial Party Committee has paid attention to leading, directing and implementing the work ofeducating political theory for all subjects from students to cadres, party members and people. Issuing many leadership and direction documents; Political theory education has been implemented synchronously and systematically, promoting positive results. Political awareness and political theory of cadres, party members and people have been raised. The application of Marxism-Leninism and Ho Chi Minh thought in implementing the political tasks of the province has achieved high efficiency. In particular, the work of protecting the Party's ideological foundation has been implemented more seriously and with better quality. However, the quality of political theory training and fostering in the province is still limited. The combination of theoretical teaching with practical connections is still limited; the innovation of content, form and method of training and fostering political theory is not regular.
The Organizing Committee of the workshop received 26 presentations from the Department of Political Theory (Central Propaganda Department), the Department of Political Schools (Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics) and agencies and units in the province. The presentations at the workshop will contribute to a profound and comprehensive assessment of the results of leadership, direction and implementation of political theory education in the province; provide scientific arguments, propose directions, tasks and solutions to help Party committees at all levels continue to lead and direct the improvement of the quality and effectiveness of political theory education in the province to meet the requirements and tasks in the new situation.
The workshop will discuss and clarify the achievements, limitations, weaknesses and causes; propose and recommend tasks and solutions to improve the quality and effectiveness of political education in the province.

Speaking at the workshop, comrade Le Van Luong - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee emphasized: In order to successfully implement the goal of building a clean and strong provincial Party Committee and political system, gradually turning Lai Chau into "a province with average development in the midland and mountainous region of the North by 2030; a province with an economy and society above the national average by 2050", the work of educating political ideology plays an extremely important role, is a necessary, urgent, regular and long-term task of the entire political system and of each organization, cadre and party member in the province.
With that meaning and importance, the Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee hopes that delegates and scientists will focus on evaluating and clarifying the theoretical basis, practice, current situation and issues arising in the province's political ideology education work; contribute opinions and propose solutions for Party committees and authorities at all levels, sectors and localities to improve the quality and effectiveness of leadership, direction, administration and effectively organize the implementation of goals, tasks and solutions to innovate the political ideology education work. From there, transform them into long-term goals and visions for the Provincial Party Committee to focus on implementing. The results obtained from the workshop will be one of the bases for the Provincial Party Committee to summarize, evaluate and develop documents for the 15th Provincial Party Congress, term 2025-2030.

At the workshop, delegates discussed and clarified the current situation, solutions and theoretical issues on the work of educating political ideology; results and issues raised for the work of educating political ideology in the province; solutions to improve the quality of the work of educating political ideology in the province in the coming time.

In his concluding remarks at the workshop, Comrade Le Duc Duc - Member of the Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department affirmed: In order to solve the challenges and continue to effectively implement the task of innovating the work of educating political ideology in the coming time, on the basis of the presentations and opinions of the authors, scientists, and delegates attending the workshop, the Organizing Committee will absorb and study, propose to advise the Provincial Party Committee to continue implementing a number of key tasks and solutions in the coming time. That is to continue to propagate and thoroughly raise the awareness of cadres, party members, civil servants and people about the meaning and role of political ideology education.
Focus on deploying and implementing policies, resolutions, conclusions and guiding documents of the central and provincial levels on the work of political ideology in conjunction with implementing the conclusions of the central and the Politburo on Party building and rectification, promoting the study and following of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle. Directing the development of annual and periodic plans for training and fostering political ideology in a systematic and scientific manner. Continuing to strongly innovate teaching and learning methods of political ideology in the direction of promoting the positivity, proactiveness and creativity of learners, taking learners as the center; promoting the sense of responsibility, self-awareness, regular self-study and self-research to improve the level, political capacity and working and learning methods of cadres, party members, students and pupils. Strengthening the leadership and management of training and fostering activities of political ideology of the Provincial Political School, Lai Chau College, district-level political centers and schools and education levels in the province.

The Organizing Committee of the workshop received the discussion, supplemented and edited opinions in the workshop proceedings to serve as research, propaganda and education documents in the political system.
