Scientific workshop on protecting the Party's ideological foundation

On the morning of August 14, the Propaganda Department of Quang Ninh Provincial Party Committee, in coordination with the Academy of Journalism and Propaganda, organized a scientific workshop on "Promoting the responsibility of Party committees and Party organizations in protecting the Party's ideological foundation and fighting against erroneous and hostile viewpoints in Quang Ninh province".

Comrades: Professor, Doctor Le Van Loi, Deputy Director of Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics ; Dang Xuan Phuong, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation; leaders of the Propaganda Department of Quang Ninh Provincial Party Committee, Academy of Journalism and Propaganda co-chaired the workshop.

Comrade Dang Xuan Phuong, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation, delivered the opening speech at the workshop.

Speaking at the opening of the workshop, comrade Dang Xuan Phuong, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation, emphasized: Over the years, the Quang Ninh Provincial Party Committee has always identified Party building and rectification as a "key task" and an important task of the Party. In particular, it focuses on and attaches great importance to the work of protecting the Party's ideological foundation and fighting against erroneous and hostile viewpoints. Quang Ninh has implemented many new models and methods that have brought about clear results in Party building and protecting the Party's ideological foundation, such as the model "People trust - Party nominates", the model "4 good Party cells, 4 good Party committees", the movement "Youth offers the Party". In particular, the Provincial Steering Committee 35 has directed the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department to develop and promulgate guidelines for piloting specialized activities to protect the Party's ideological foundation, fight against and refute bad and toxic information, erroneous and hostile viewpoints.

The Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee stated that this workshop is an opportunity for Quang Ninh province, scientists, and delegates to contribute new arguments and objective practical bases from a special position of Quang Ninh province in the work of protecting the Party's ideological foundation. Thereby enriching and affirming the theoretical and practical bases in the work of fighting against erroneous and hostile viewpoints, thereby drawing experiences and proposing orientations and solutions to improve the effectiveness of this work in the coming time.

Professor, Dr. Le Van Loi, Deputy Director of Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, delivered a keynote speech at the conference.

In his opening speech at the workshop, Professor, Dr. Le Van Loi, Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, affirmed that the task of protecting the Party's ideological foundation and fighting against erroneous and hostile viewpoints in the new situation continues to face many difficulties and challenges. The issues raised by practice require an urgent need to further promote the role and responsibility of Party committees and organizations in localities in general and in Quang Ninh province in particular, to effectively lead, direct and organize the implementation of the work of protecting the Party's ideological foundation and fighting against erroneous and hostile viewpoints, meeting the requirements and tasks in the new situation.

At the workshop, delegates focused on discussing, analyzing, clarifying the theoretical and practical basis, and the current situation in promoting the responsibility of Party committees and Party organizations at all levels in protecting the Party's ideological foundation and fighting against erroneous and hostile viewpoints in Quang Ninh province. They assessed the advantages and limitations, analyzed the causes, and proposed orientations, solutions, and recommendations on promoting the responsibility of Party committees and Party organizations in protecting the Party's ideological foundation and fighting against erroneous and hostile viewpoints in Quang Ninh province in the coming time.

The opinions expressed at the workshop all affirmed that the methods and models in Party building and protecting the Party's ideological foundation that have been implemented by Quang Ninh and brought about practical results are very important practical bases for generalizing into theoretical models for replication nationwide.

With the achieved results, the workshop "Promoting the responsibility of Party committees and organizations in protecting the Party's ideological foundation, fighting against erroneous and hostile views in Quang Ninh province" has contributed to the innovation of content, methods and forms of protecting the Party's ideological foundation, raising awareness and adding new impetus in the practical implementation of Resolution No. 35 -NQ/TW "On strengthening the protection of the Party's ideological foundation, fighting against erroneous and hostile views in the new situation" of the Politburo. Thereby, contributing to further strengthening the people's trust in the leadership of the Party and the government.
