Workshop on developing typical tourist souvenir products of Vinh Long

On August 3, 2024, at Tu Buoi tourist site, Ward 5, Vinh Long city, Vinh Long province, Vinh Long Provincial Tourism Association coordinated with departments, branches, localities and related units to organize a workshop on product development for the market of gifts and souvenirs typical of Vinh Long tourism.

The workshop aimed to listen to the opinions of delegates who are passionate about local tourism products. Thereby, there are orientations and advice for the industry on gifts and souvenirs to serve tourists in the coming time; propose many solutions to effectively connect the tourism value chain, contribute to increasing tourist spending when coming to the locality, promote the traditional culture of Vinh Long homeland to domestic and international friends.

Speaking at the workshop, Ms. Nguyen Thi Quyen Thanh - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee highly appreciated the contributions of the delegates and said that the Tourism Development Project to 2025 and Vision to 2030 of Vinh Long province identifies and focuses on tourism products including unique products, professional services, green, clean, beautiful, safe and friendly environment. The development of tourism products needs to be specific, create a highlight of each locality and have high connectivity; prioritize tourism product development ideas suitable for the market and tourists.

Comrade Nguyen Thi Quyen Thanh also requested that all levels, sectors and localities in the province pay attention to and support the development and planning of raw material areas for tourism products; support the promotion and advertising of craft village products on e-commerce channels; and have mechanisms and policies for traditional craft village artisans./.
