International training workshop on “social work and community health”

On the morning of June 9, An Giang University organized the 19th international training workshop on "social work and community health" in 2025, taking place from June 9 to 20, 2025.

Presenting flowers to lecturers from West Virginia University (USA)

The activity is part of a cooperation agreement between An Giang University and West Virginia University (USA). The training workshop was conducted in both in-person and online formats, with different topics related to the use of knowledge, skills and practices of social work and public health to support the elderly; those at risk of abuse, trauma, human trafficking... to solve the problems they are facing, towards recovery and development. Specifically, it includes contents such as: Conflict resolution skills in social work; trauma-informed classrooms and shelters; gender and toxic masculinity and femininity; forensic interviewing skills to support children in sharing about abuse...

The workshop aims to provide knowledge, methods, skills and exchange practical experiences in the field of social work and community health for lecturers and students of An Giang University, West Virginia University, universities in Vietnam and social workers in agencies, social organizations, non -governmental organizations in An Giang and other localities of Vietnam.
