Competition for skilled rubber tappers of Army Corps 15

Towards the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army and the 40th anniversary of the founding of the Corps, on November 11-12, Corps 15 of the Ministry of National Defense organized the 2024 Competition for skilled rubber tappers.

Major General Hoang Van Sy, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Commander of the 15th Army Corps, gave a speech directing the contest.

The competition gathered 54 skilled workers, selected from 9 units representing nearly 10,000 rubber tappers in the entire Corps. The contestants competed in 4 parts: Theory, tools, practice and speed to select the best tappers, representing Corps 15 to compete in the industry-level skilled worker competition organized by the Vietnam Rubber Group in December 2024.

Speaking at the competition, Major General Hoang Van Sy, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Commander of the 15th Army Corps, emphasized: The rubber tappers have overcome all difficulties and circumstances, are dedicated to their profession, diligent in production, and join hands to build the unit and the 15th Army Corps to develop more and more, contributing to building an increasingly prosperous and prosperous economic , cultural and social landscape in the area, bringing a prosperous and happy life to the villages of the Central Highlands.

The skilled worker competition is held by Army Corps 15 every two years.

This year, the units organized competitions for skilled workers from the production team level to the company level to create a vibrant and widespread competitive atmosphere, attracting nearly 10,000 skilled workers to compete at the team level, selecting 458 skilled workers to compete at the company level and selecting 54 skilled workers to compete in the Corps level competition, including 18 skilled workers who are local ethnic minorities.

The Rubber Tappers Competition of Corps 15 is held every two years. This is the 16th time the Corps has organized the Competition.

Colonel Tran Ngoc Hai, Deputy Commander, Chief of Staff of Corps 15, Head of the Competition Steering Committee delivered the opening speech.

Speaking at the opening of the contest, Colonel Tran Ngoc Hai, Deputy Commander, Chief of Staff of Corps 15, Head of the Contest Steering Committee, said: The contest is the best condition for workers to demonstrate the application of new methods, quick and precise working style and skillful techniques in the implementation of the rubber latex harvesting process; at the same time, gain a deeper understanding of the application of scientific and technical advances in production, to master the garden, with the goal of "Productivity - quality - efficiency".

The contest is also a great festival for workers and laborers, an opportunity to commend and honor skilled workers, build a team of workers who love work, are attached to the unit and the locality, thereby, multiplying positive and typical factors. At the same time, this is an opportunity to train, foster, practice, build a team of skilled workers, with knowledge, skills and high discipline, meeting the requirements of the unit's tasks in the new period... continuing to write the proud tradition of the 15th Heroic Corps.

The contest is also a big festival for workers and laborers of Army Corps 15.

Corps 15 is a unit assigned by the Party, State, and Ministry of National Defense to develop the economy, linked with national defense, security, and social development in the strategic Central Highlands area and to carry out international missions in the two friendly countries of Cambodia and Laos.

Currently, the Corps' units are located in 271 villages of 41 communes, in 9 districts of 4 provinces: Gia Lai, Kon Tum, Quang Binh, Binh Dinh and some projects in Attapeu province (Laos), Ratanakiri (Cambodia).

Up to now, after nearly 40 years of construction and development, the Corps currently has nearly 15,000 officers, soldiers and workers, currently managing nearly 40 thousand hectares of rubber, of which more than 30 thousand hectares are for business. The Corps has basically completed the construction of residential areas into economic and cultural bright spots, contributing to improving the lives and creating trust among ethnic minorities in the Party, State and Army.

The leaders of the 15th Corps awarded the first prize to Company 74.

Contest results: First prize belongs to company 74; Second prize belongs to company 72; Third prize belongs to company 75; Golden hand prize belongs to skilled worker Nguyen Van Nam (company 74).

Through the competition results, Corps 15 selected the 4 best workers to participate in the 2024 Golden Hands Competition for the Rubber Industry.
