Han River lights up on the opening night of the 2025 Da Nang International Fireworks Festival

(Dan Tri) - The 2025 Da Nang International Fireworks Festival has officially opened, marking the impressive return of the most anticipated cultural and tourist event every summer in the central coastal city.

On the evening of May 31st, the Da Nang International Fireworks Festival (DIFF) 2025 officially opened with the theme "Cultural Quintessence". The opening of the six nights of dramatic competition was a "fireworks showdown" between the host team Da Nang (Vietnam 1) and the reigning champion Joho Pyro (Finland) (Photo: Organizing Committee).

Deserving of the opening performance for the biggest DIFF in history, the host team Da Nang surprised the audience with a completely new and explosive return, showcasing skillful fireworks techniques (Photo: Hoai Son).

For more than 20 minutes, more than 5,000 fireworks simultaneously sublimated, blending with music to create a magnificent symphony of sound and light, sending a spirited greeting to residents and visitors on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the city's liberation (Photo: Hoai Son).

From the sparkling rain effects of fireworks, soft color-changing fireworks to waterfall fireworks, fireworks exploding in unison like surging waves, the audience is caught up in a flow of emotions from deep to explosive (Photo: Hoai Son).

Not just a competition team, Da Nang once again demonstrated its role as a “storyteller with light”, affirming its position as a city of creativity, integration and connection on the international festival map (Photo: A Nui).

Opening with fiery pop rock melodies like Diamond Eyes, Liar, Heroes Are Calling, the audience was immediately drawn into the intense emotions of the story about a people living between the ocean and ice, from thousands of small islands (Photo: BTC).
