On the evening of May 24, Mr. Pham Chanh Trung - Head of the Ho Chi Minh City Population Department - said that in the first round of screening, Ho Chi Minh City had compiled a list of 3,291 women who gave birth to 2 children before the age of 35 to pay a subsidy of 3 million VND according to regulations.

Previously, the department sent a document requesting wards and communes in Ho Chi Minh City to review and make a list of women eligible to enjoy the policy in the first phase (from December 21, 2024 to April 15, 2025). Specifically, women who have given birth to two children before the age of 35, and have the time to give birth to their second child from December 21, 2024 onwards.

Those who give birth to two children before the age of 35 after this period are still guaranteed to receive full support policies.

Mr. Trung added that currently, wards and communes have begun to record women who give birth to two children before the age of 35 when people go to the ward or commune to get birth certificates for their children.

Ho Chi Minh City is also continuing to listen to people's opinions and feedback on appropriate solutions for implementing birth promotion.

Mr. Trung also recognized that policy synchronization is the most important, so there needs to be more specific policies on social security,education , health care, living conditions, social housing, personal income tax... so that couples can truly feel secure in having children and having two children.
