The program is organized by the Management Board of Son Tra Peninsula and Da Nang tourist beaches in coordination with other organizations, aiming to promote environmental protection and marine ecosystems, saying no to plastic waste.
From early morning, volunteers including youth union members, students, management staff, and a large number of locals and tourists braved the rain to spread out to areas along the beach to collect trash. Plastic bags, plastic bottles, cans, etc. were sorted and transported for disposal.
Nguyen Thi Thu Ha (student of the University of Education - Danang University) shared: "Participating in this program not only contributes to cleaning up my hometown beach, but also reminds me to maintain green living habits every day."
Despite the rain, many volunteers were present at Nguyen Tat Thanh beach early to clean up the trash.
According to the management board, this activity is not only about cleaning the beach but also about promoting and raising public awareness in limiting the use of disposable plastic waste, encouraging green living habits and using environmentally friendly products.
"We hope the program will spread the spirit of responsibility to the people and tourists, together keeping the Da Nang marine environment green - clean - beautiful, safe and hospitable" - shared a representative of the Management Board of Son Tra Peninsula and Da Nang tourist beaches.
