According to statistics from the online registration system of Foreign Trade University, up to now, there have been 627 candidates who won national excellent student awards and science and technology awards registering for admission to the university this year. These are the number of candidates who are eligible for direct admission or priority admission to Foreign Trade University this year.

Ms. Pham Thanh Ha, Deputy Head of the Training Management Department of Foreign Trade University, said that the candidates won national prizes in subjects in the university's admission group including Math, Physics, Chemistry, Literature, English, Chinese, Japanese, and French. This shows the uniformity in quality across the Economics - Business - Engineering - Law - Foreign Languages sectors.

“This number not only shows the high level of competition in admission, but also shows the trust of candidates and parents nationwide in the training quality, learning environment and career orientation at Foreign Trade University,” said Ms. Ha.

In 2025, Foreign Trade University will recruit a total of 4,180 full-time university students for both its Hanoi headquarters and affiliated facilities with 4 methods including:
- Admission is based on high school academic results when meeting the school's quality assurance conditions;

- Admission based on high school graduation exam results in 2025;

- Admission using domestic and international competency assessment certificates;

- Direct admission according to regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training.

Foreign Trade University has regulations on the threshold to ensure input quality and announces the conversion of admission scores between methods. Both of these information will be announced by the school immediately after the results of the 2025 high school graduation exam are available.

Every year, Foreign Trade University allocates about 37.5 billion VND from tuition fees and other sources of revenue to provide scholarships to encourage learning, provide financial support and support student activities to attract talent and ensure access to higher education for students from disadvantaged backgrounds. In addition, the university cooperates with domestic and foreign business organizations to raise funds and award scholarships from business organizations to students with outstanding achievements.

The school also has a scholarship loan fund with a loan limit of about 15 million VND/year, 0% interest rate, lasting up to 8 years, for students in difficult circumstances to cover living and study expenses.
