MSc. Nguyen Hoang Tien, Vice Principal of Saigon College of Technology, said that although it is a new major, the school will start enrolling students from 2024, but the beauty care major has many very positive signals. In particular, the training facility in Can Tho City is more interested than the facility in Ho Chi Minh City.
The attraction of the beauty profession
Explaining the industry's outstanding appeal, MSc. Hoang Tien emphasized two key advantages. Firstly, this is a "hot" industry because of its high income. Economic development and personal beauty needs have pushed the demand for quality specialists to a high level, leading to attractive remuneration; secondly, the beauty care industry offers a high diversity of work (can be done on skin, hair, aesthetics, etc.)
Dr. Dang Minh Su, Principal of Global Polytechnic College, said that there were students who studied beauty care in Vietnam, then went to the US and opened a nail care center. Notably, most of the nail sets designed by these students were registered for intellectual property in this country. This shows that this field of study is increasingly positioned and has more value in the international market.

Besides regular college classes lasting from 2-2.5 years, short-term training classes are also of interest to many students.
During the cooperation signing ceremony between Van Lang Saigon College and the Japan Comprehensive Aesthetics Association and Japanese enterprises in September, Japanese experts commented that Vietnamese students have the strength to develop the beauty care industry according to international standards.
Mr. Imai Masato - Member of the House of Representatives of Japan, Constitutional Democratic Party of Japan - said that with 640,000 international students and workers, Vietnam is the second country (after China) with the largest population in Japan. In addition to being famous for its technology industries, Japan also thrives in the service and beauty care industries.
Mr. Truong Van Hung, Principal of Van Lang Saigon College, said that the school will organize teaching and training in professional beauty care. Accordingly, Japanese enterprises will contribute 300 hours to the school's training program. Of which, 180 hours will be spent in the classroom and 120 hours will be spent on internships in Japan. In addition, students will have the opportunity to do internships in Japan.

Van Lang Saigon College is a training unit, providing human resources in the field of beauty care, granted Japanese standard beauty skills certificates and internationally recognized.
Diverse job opportunities
Ms. Vo Thanh Huong, Head of Admissions and Communications Department - Ho Chi Minh City International College, said that this is a "hot" industry with a starting income of 15 million VND/month. The attraction lies not only in traditional services (spa, nail, hair) but also extends to health care areas such as physical therapy, acupuncture, etc.
"Foreign enterprises such as China, Korea, Australia, etc. continuously "place orders" with the school for training, but the number of graduates is still not enough to meet the demand. To retain human resources, many enterprises are willing to sponsor 100% scholarships for students" - Ms. Huong said.
In addition, some international colleges and universities have also proposed to cooperate in training this group of majors with Ho Chi Minh City International College. After graduation, students can open their own beauty salons if they meet legal requirements, or work at spas and beauty salons in and outside the country.

Students practice beauty care at Ho Chi Minh City International College
Mr. Tran Anh Tuan - human resource forecasting expert, Vice President of Ho Chi Minh City Vocational Education Association, said that the beauty care industry is in the top 10 industry groups with development trends and high demand for specialized human resources in 2025. "Career competition is not only based on degrees but also on quality and adaptability," Mr. Tuan noted.
