More than 733,000 candidates have entered their university admission wishes.

According to the Ministry of Education and Training , as of 5:00 p.m. on July 30, the time the online registration portal was closed, the general admission support system of the Ministry of Education and Training recorded a total of more than 733,000 candidates who had entered their admission wishes, equivalent to 68.5% of the number of candidates registering for the 2024 high school graduation exam.

Last year, more than 660,000 candidates entered their admission wishes on the system, equivalent to 65.9% of the number of candidates registering for the high school graduation exam.

Previously, in 2022, the Ministryof Education and Training recorded more than 616,000 candidates registering for university entrance exams, accounting for 64.1% of the number of candidates registering for the high school graduation exam.

This year, candidates can register their admission wishes online on the common system of the Ministry of Education and Training from July 18 to 5:00 p.m. on July 30.

After the online registration portal closes, from July 31 to 5:00 p.m. August 6, candidates who have registered their university admission wishes on the common system will pay the online admission fee via the National Public Service Portal. This is a very important step for the admission wishes to officially take effect.

The registration fee is 20,000 VND per wish. For each wish you register, you must pay the corresponding amount.

The Ministry of Education and Training divided candidates from 63 localities into 6 groups to pay the examination fee. Each group paid the fee on one day.

In 2024, the whole country will have 1,071,393 candidates registered to take the high school graduation exam (an increase of about 45,000 candidates compared to 2023). The total number of candidates who came to complete the exam procedures on June 26 was 1,060,356 candidates.

Of these, 63% of candidates registered for the social science exam, 73% of candidates registered for the natural science exam. 67,000 candidates were exempted from the foreign language exam.
