CLIP: Floodwaters rise rapidly, submerging Giang Pho spillway, traffic is completely cut off
On the morning of September 23, Mr. Nguyen Truong Giang - Head of the Department of Education and Training of Huong Son District, Ha Tinh Province - said that due to the complicated flood situation, this morning (September 23), the whole district had 5,643 students in 17 schools having to stay home from school. Of these, there were 8 kindergartens, 5 primary schools, and 4 secondary schools.
"The Department of Education and Training has also asked localities and parents to pay attention to ensuring safety for students during the flood season," said Mr. Giang.

In Huong Khe district, the rain caused some roads to be partially flooded, forcing 3,376 students to stay home from school, mainly preschool and primary school students.
Faced with the complicated situation of floods, leaders of the Departments of Education and Training of Huong Khe and Huong Son districts have directed principals to closely monitor the flood situation to take timely measures to ensure the safety of students, staff, teachers and employees; ensure the safety of assets, facilities and school buildings; proactively move machinery, teaching equipment, documents and records to higher floors or move them to places without the risk of flooding to avoid damage.
