Meeting to organize Vietnam Festival in Hokkaido (Japan)

On the morning of July 10, the Department of Foreign Affairs of Quang Ninh province had a working session with the delegation of the Organizing Committee of the Vietnam Festival in Sapporo, Hokkaido province (Japan), led by Mr. Nakata Takahiro, Head of the Organizing Committee of the Festival, Honorary Consul of Vietnam in Hokkaido.

At the meeting, the Festival Organizing Committee gave an overview of the Vietnam Festival in Hokkaido 2025, scheduled to take place from September 5 to 7 in Hokkaido province.

This is an important event to promote Vietnamese culture, tourism, cuisine and people to international friends, especially Japanese people, and at the same time strengthen the friendship and cooperation between Vietnam and Japan.

The two sides discussed and clarified a number of issues related to the coordination of organization, focusing on the following issues: Composition and number of delegates from Quang Ninh province attending the festival; plan to organize booths to promote tourism and culture; schedule and length of stay of the delegation; art performances and related logistics;...

In addition to the festival, the two sides also discussed the need for cooperation in the field ofeducation and training, especially connecting vocational training facilities, international students, interns and youth cultural exchange programs between the two provinces.

At the end of the meeting, the two sides agreed to establish a permanent contact group to continue exchanging and finalizing related contents, advising the leaders of the two localities on logistics preparation, reception organization and successful implementation of the festival program.

Representatives of the Department of Foreign Affairs presented souvenirs to the Organizing Committee of the Vietnam Festival in Sapporo, Hokkaido province (Japan).

The meeting contributed to concretizing the contents of coordination in organization, further promoting the friendly cooperation relationship between Quang Ninh province (Vietnam) and Hokkaido province (Japan) and aiming to successfully organize the Vietnam Festival in Hokkaido in 2025 next September.
