Press conference to inform the results of the 1st Government Party Congress

On the afternoon of October 13, the Organizing Committee of the 1st Government Party Congress, term 2025-2030, held a press conference to inform about the results of the Congress. At the press conference, Member of the Party Central Committee, Minister, Head of the Government Office Tran Van Son, Spokesperson of the Government, said that after two days of urgent and responsible work, the Congress completed all its contents and took place successfully.

The Congress summarized and evaluated the results of the 2020-2025 term; reviewed the leadership and direction of the Government Party Executive Committee in the past term; determined the directions, goals, tasks and solutions for the 2025-2030 term; and discussed and contributed opinions to the draft documents to be submitted to the 14th National Congress of the Party.

At the solemn opening session, the Congress was honored to welcome General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam To Lam to attend and direct. The Congress was also attended by leaders and former leaders of the Party, State, Vietnam Fatherland Front, representatives of departments, ministries, branches, organizations, enterprises, business associations; reporters, editors, news agencies, newspapers... and nearly 1,800 delegates and guests.

In his speech, General Secretary To Lam affirmed the special role and position of the Government Party Committee - a large and important Party Committee directly under the Central Committee, the center of direct leadership and direction for the Government and the Prime Minister in managing the national administration, socio-economic development, ensuring national defense, security and international integration.

The General Secretary commended the outstanding results achieved by the Party Committee and Government during the past term, especially the spirit of solidarity, mettle, creativity and determination in leadership, management and breakthroughs in action for the country and people.

Party building, Party member development, cadre work, and studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality, and lifestyle are focused on, becoming increasingly in-depth, practical, and effective.

The Government Party Committee has led and directed the synchronous and effective implementation of three strategic breakthroughs, six key tasks and 12 main groups of solutions according to the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress. In particular, in the two years of 2024 - 2025, many major policies of the Party and State have been implemented drastically and effectively, making an important contribution to socio-economic development, institutional improvement and administrative apparatus innovation.

At the Congress, comments on the documents were conducted democratically, frankly and responsibly. 51/51 affiliated Party Committees sent written comments with more than 110,000 comments, of which more than 109,000 comments agreed with the draft content, and over 2,600 comments and additions.

The Congress was divided into 15 discussion groups with 212 comments, demonstrating in-depth research, constructive spirit and high fighting spirit, focusing on core issues of great practical significance in Party building and socio-economic development.

The Congress adopted the Political Report with the following focuses: continuing to strengthen Party building work; innovating and improving the effectiveness of leadership and management; promoting solidarity and collective intelligence; improving the leadership capacity and fighting strength of Party organizations and Party members.

The review report of the Government Party Executive Committee for the 2020-2025 term was approved in a serious and open-minded spirit, frankly acknowledging the limitations and shortcomings to overcome in the coming time.

The Congress also passed the Resolution of the 1st Government Party Congress, term 2025 - 2030 with many synchronous tasks and solutions in all fields, emphasizing 6 groups of tasks and breakthrough solutions on socio-economic development, administrative reform, digital transformation, human resource development, building digital government and improving the quality of personnel work.

At the press conference, representatives of the Organizing Committee and a number of Ministers and members of the Government answered questions from reporters related to priority areas of socio-economic development; building two-level local governments; solutions to improve quality, effectiveness and efficiency to better serve people and businesses; new growth models, etc.
