Hue proactively responds to storm No. 12 and floods

QNgTV- To cope with storm No. 12 and expected floods from October 22 to the end of October, Hue city has been focusing on calling on fishermen to bring their boats to safe anchorages and proactively implement response plans when widespread floods occur.

The coastal border guards of Hue city have closely coordinated with local authorities to guide and call on boats to take shelter in safe places; check, count, and ensure that no more vehicles are operating in dangerous areas. Up to now, all 1,075 boats with over 7,650 workers have been arranged and anchored safely.

The Hue City Border Guard Command has also directed units to proactively grasp the situation, forecast the storm's developments; coordinate with local authorities to review and develop plans to promptly support and evacuate people in vulnerable areas to safety.

Hue City has directed communes, wards and units to guide people to proactively respond to prolonged rain and floods; proactively stock up on food, drinking water, essential items and spare batteries; and prepare evacuation plans to ensure safety of life.
