Ready to respond to emergencies
Recently, the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam (Ministry of Construction) has directed units in the industry to organize 24/7 duty and strictly implement the procedures for responding to storms and tropical depressions in civil aviation activities.
Airports in the affected areas such as Van Don, Noi Bai, Cat Bi... are required to proactively check and reinforce infrastructure, communication systems, drainage, and at the same time deploy plans to prevent flooding, protect works and equipment to minimize damage.
Vietnam Airports Corporation (ACV) and Van Don International Airport coordinate with relevant units to review the entire system, update meteorological information, proactively propose exploitation plans suitable to actual conditions and be ready to respond to emergency situations.
Vietnam Air Traffic Management Corporation (VATM) is required to direct aviation meteorological service providers to strengthen monitoring and promptly provide warning bulletins and weather forecasts to flight operators.
Airlines are required to closely monitor storm developments and adjust flight schedules when necessary, prioritizing the safety of passengers and crew.
The Northern and Central Airports Authorities are responsible for monitoring and ensuring close coordination between units in response work; maintaining smooth communication with the Disaster Prevention and Search and Rescue Command Committee of the Civil Aviation Authority and localities.
