The administrative unit's headquarters is located in the current Tri Ton town.
Establish O Lam commune on the basis of merging the area and population of 3 communes An Tuc, O Lam and Luong Phi. The administrative unit's headquarters is currently in An Tuc commune. Establish Co To commune on the basis of merging the area and population of Co To town, Tan Tuyen commune, Ta Danh commune. The administrative unit's headquarters is currently in Co To town.
Establish Vinh Gia commune on the basis of merging 3 communes Vinh Gia, Luong An Tra, Vinh Phuoc. The administrative unit's headquarters is currently Luong An Tra commune.
