This is an activity within the 2025 trade promotion plan of Hai Phong City.
It is expected that from June 21 to 23, lychees and other OCOP products of Hai Duong province will be brought to supermarkets and shopping centers in Hai Phong city for display, introduction and sale to consumers. The above time can be adjusted to suit the main harvest time of Hai Duong lychees.
Notably, lychee and typical OCOP products of Hai Duong will be displayed at 10-12 booths in Aeon Mall Hai Phong Le Chan (No. 10, Vo Nguyen Giap Street, Kenh Duong Ward, Le Chan District, Hai Phong City). This is a first-class commercial center with a total area of over 9 hectares, welcoming thousands of visitors every day to visit and shop.
Participating organizations and individuals are provided with free display space and product display tables; must transport goods to the display location themselves and are responsible for preserving, introducing and selling products.
Thanh Ha litchi begins harvest season
In recent years, Hai Duong lychees have been exported to many countries around the world . Domestically, this specialty fruit is also sold in many supermarkets in the province and some major cities.
In Hai Phong City, in the past 3 years, Hai Duong lychees have been sold at some supermarkets such as Co.opmart, Go... and safe agricultural product stores in districts.
According to the provincial Department of Cultivation and Plant Protection, this year, Hai Duong has about 8,800 hectares of lychee, of which Thanh Ha district has 3,285 hectares and Chi Linh city has about 3,400 hectares.
The total lychee output of the province is expected to reach about 55,000 tons, with Thanh Ha district alone estimated to reach about 38,000 tons. Lychee production in the province basically complies with safe processes with 721 hectares certified to VietGAP and GlobalGAP standards.
Early lychee tea is being harvested, main-season lychee tea is expected to start harvesting from June 10-30, peaking from June 15-25.
Hai Duong Department of Industry and Trade has requested the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Hai Duong and the People's Committee of Thanh Ha district to coordinate and inform organizations and individuals who want to display, introduce and sell lychee and OCOP products to contact Hai Duong Department of Industry and Trade, address 14A Bac Son, Quang Trung ward (Hai Duong city) to make registration documents.
Registration deadline is June 5.
