Female student in Hanoi had her leg severed after colliding with a BMW

According to initial information, at around 2:00 p.m. on May 30, a traffic collision occurred on Nguyen Huy Tu Street.

Witnesses at the scene said that at the time of the accident, a BMW car with license plate 30H - 369.XX (driver unknown) and a motorbike carrying 2 people collided in front of house number 38 Nguyen Huy Tu.

The strong collision caused the motorbike to be deformed, 2 people were seriously injured, including a female student who had a leg severed.

A representative of Traffic Police Team No. 4 (Traffic Police Department of Hanoi City Police) said that upon receiving the report, the unit sent officers and soldiers to the scene to regulate traffic and coordinate with the investigation agency to resolve the accident.

"Initial investigation determined that the two people on the motorbike were a father and son. Locals and authorities took the two people to the hospital for emergency treatment," said a representative of Traffic Police Team No. 4.

The cause of the accident is currently under investigation.
