The meeting was attended by reporters and journalists from Ba Tri who are working at press agencies in and outside the province, and many officials, civil servants and public employees of the information and communication sector in the district.
Speaking at the meeting, Deputy Secretary of Ba Tri District Party Committee - Chairman of the District People's Council Bui Thanh Duong emphasized: Vietnamese revolutionary press, since its inception with the first issue of Thanh Nien newspaper founded by President Ho Chi Minh , has become a shock force on the ideological and cultural front, always accompanying the nation in the journey of fighting for independence, building and defending the Fatherland.
In Ba Tri district, a land rich in revolutionary traditions and patriotism, information and propaganda activities were soon formed, playing the role of a sharp weapon in the resistance war and homeland construction.
During the anti-American resistance war in 1968, the predecessor of Ba Tri District Radio Station was born under the name of the Volunteer Propaganda Team (TTXP). Through historical periods until today's digital transformation period, the district's radio industry has continuously grown, playing the role of a bridge between the Party, the government and the people.
At the meeting, delegates reviewed the glorious tradition of Vietnam's revolutionary press over the past 100 years, and also reviewed the journey of more than 50 years of formation and development of the Ba Tri District Radio Broadcasting Industry from the TTXP Team in 1968 with only three staff members, to the Radio Broadcasting Group today operating on a digital platform. Memorable milestones such as FM broadcasting in 2004 or switching to digital radio in 2025 were recognized as strong steps forward, demonstrating the spirit of innovation, creativity, and overcoming difficulties of the industry.
On this occasion, the leaders of Ba Tri District Party Committee expressed their deep gratitude to generations of cadres, reporters, editors, technicians, and collaborators working in the press and broadcasting sector in the district and the children of Ba Tri who are working in the press industry nationwide. At the same time, the district called for continuing to promote traditions, maintain professional ethics, innovate propaganda content and methods, and make practical contributions to the sustainable development of the locality.
The meeting also recorded the enthusiastic sharing and discussion from generations of leaders and journalists who have worked in the district's radio and television journalism industry.
