According to Mr. Dong, after receiving media reports about the phenomenon of cars and motorbikes not being able to open smart locks at the intersection of Pho Vong - Nguyen An Ninh, Hoang Mai district, this afternoon, June 22, the Interference Handling Team of the Center urgently went to the scene to investigate harmful interference. Frequency specialists with modern radio control equipment and experience in handling interference quickly controlled, detected and accurately located the source of harmful interference, which was a radio remote control device to turn on and off the automatic water pump at a household in Pho Vong.
This device, of unknown origin, has no certification stamp of conformity, and has emission quality that does not meet the regulations on the frequency of 433.9 MHz/bandwidth of 37.5Khz, causing harmful interference on the frequency band for remote control devices to open and close car doors, motorbike locks... (433.05-434.79MHz) in the surrounding area.
The technical team coordinated with the Technical Department (PA06) of Hanoi City Police and the Ward Police to handle, dismantle and confiscate the equipment.
Through this incident, the Radio Frequency Department recommends that people buy, sell, and use radio equipment with clear origin and certified compliance, and register for a license to use radio frequencies and equipment in cases where licensing is not exempted.
