Hyundai announces the price of Ioniq 9, from 1.57 billion VND

Recently, Hyundai has announced the official price for the all-new 3-row SUV - Ioniq 9. This is an electric SUV in the same segment as VinFast VF9 and Kia EV9.

Accordingly, the new Hyundai Ioniq 9 2025 is sold in 6 versions with starting prices ranging from 60,555 USD - 78,090 USD (equivalent to 1.57 - 2.03 billion VND). The new electric SUV Ioniq 9 inherits many design details from the Seven Concept version.

The Hyundai Ioniq 9 electric SUV is equipped with Parametric Pixel matrix lights like other Ioniq models. The Ioniq 9 has a drag coefficient of only 0.259 Cd despite its large size with the optional digital rearview mirror. The Ioniq 9 is also the first Hyundai model to remove the roof antenna and instead use a windshield for GPS and satellite radio.

The three-row electric SUV comes with 19, 20 or 21-inch wheel options and up to 16 exterior colors. The Hyundai Ioniq 9's interior is said to be extremely spacious thanks to two factors: a long wheelbase (3,130mm) and a flat-floor electric vehicle. The steering wheel is quite similar to the new Santa Fe and integrates some small LED lights to display battery capacity.

Inside the cabin of the electric Hyundai Ioniq 9 stands out with a large curved screen floating on the dashboard. This dashboard includes: a 12-inch digital clock cluster and a 12-inch infotainment screen. The car also has other convenient equipment such as: a standard 8-speaker sound system and a high-end version with 14 Bose speakers, a USB-C charging port...

The Ioniq 9 will be available in two configurations: 6 or 7 seats and the second row of seats has a swivel function, like the EV9. In terms of safety equipment, the Hyundai Ioniq 9 has the following driving assistance features: Forward Collision Avoidance Assist, Lane Keeping Assist, Blind Spot Collision Avoidance Assist, Safe Door Open Warning, Rear Cross Traffic Collision Avoidance Assist and Automatic High Beams. The car is also equipped with 10 airbags.

In terms of powertrain, the standard Ioniq 9 S is equipped with an electric motor located on the rear axle, producing 215 horsepower and providing a maximum operating range of 539 km. This is the highest range in the entire Ioniq 9 product line. In addition to the S version, Hyundai also offers 5 other versions, all of which use a full-time 4-wheel drive system with two electric motors.

The SE and SEL trims have 303 horsepower and a range of 315 miles per charge. The three higher-end "Performance" trims are tuned for more power, with up to 422 horsepower and a range of about 310 miles. Hyundai says the fastest version of the Ioniq 9 can hit 60 mph in just 4.9 seconds.

Hyundai has yet to release details on its fast-charging technology, but given the battery size, the Ioniq 9 will likely support high-power charging (230–350 kW) similar to the Ioniq 5 and Ioniq 6, which should significantly reduce charging times. The Ioniq 9 is Hyundai’s fourth electric vehicle in the US, following the Ioniq 5, Ioniq 6, and Kona Electric.

Unlike its imported predecessors, the Ioniq 9 will be manufactured at Hyundai’s plant in Georgia, USA. This could qualify the car for up to $7,500 in tax incentives under the US government ’s domestic electric vehicle support policy.

The Hyundai Ioniq 9 marks a new step forward for the Korean electric car brand, bringing the company into the three-row electric SUV game - a segment that is growing strongly in the North American market.

With a modern design, impressive operating range and spacious interior, the Ioniq 9 promises to be a formidable competitor to the Kia EV9, Rivian R1S or even the Tesla Model X at a higher price range.
