Indonesia tightens security for the 2025 Southeast Asian U23 final - Photo: Antara
The 2025 Southeast Asian U23 final between Indonesia and Vietnam will take place at 8:00 p.m. tonight (July 29).
The security force includes police, military and local Jakarta government officials. Central Jakarta police chief Susatyo Purnomo Condro said security will be deployed from 4 p.m.
Security will be tightened throughout the stadium, both inside and outside. All spectators entering the stadium will be subject to strict screening. Prohibited items such as sharp weapons, alcoholic beverages and flares are strictly prohibited from entering the stadium and surrounding areas.
Notably, the police will provide special escorts for Vietnamese fans. The authorities will ensure security for Vietnamese fans from the moment they arrive, throughout the match and until they leave the stadium.
Mr. Susatyo emphasized: "We ensure the safety of all spectators, including Vietnamese fans, that is our responsibility. They will be escorted carefully by us to feel safe and comfortable."
Police also called on Indonesian fans to show good sportsmanship , maintain a good image of the hosts and not to engage in provocative or disruptive behavior.
