iPhone 14 Pro Max continues to drop in price

The price of iPhone 14 Pro Max in Vietnam has now decreased by another 500,000 VND compared to mid-April.

After increasing by 100,000-300,000 VND at retail chains on April 15, the iPhone 14 Pro Max continues to decrease in price. Currently, the iPhone 14 Pro Max 128 GB has the lowest retail price of 26.55 million VND at an Apple authorized dealer (AAR).

Specifically, at two retail chains with large market shares, The Gioi Di Dong (TGDD) and FPT Shop, the iPhone 14 Pro Max 128 GB model costs 26.59 million VND. TGDĐ applies the above price for online purchases, while buying directly at the store will cost 27.09 million VND.

Explaining to Zing about the price difference between the two forms of purchasing, a representative of TGDĐ said that when customers choose to buy online, the chain will cut down on operating and service costs, leading to better prices for this form of purchasing.

At many other AARs, the standard version of the iPhone 14 Pro Max has a common price of 26.79 million VND.

The Vietnamese technology retail market is witnessing a rare occurrence where a company with a large market share is selling iPhones at almost the lowest price. Previously, the two "big guys" in the retail industry always had iPhone prices 1-3 million VND higher than other chains thanks to their brand, store coverage and good after-sales service.

"The market has never been so competitive. Retail chains with large market shares, high store coverage, and good after-sales service are offering cheaper prices than retail chains with small market shares," said a representative of an AAR in Vietnam.

He also added that users will be the ones who benefit when retail chains compete on price. However, as this war continues, the technology market will witness fluctuations in market share, prices and business strategies in the coming time.

Representatives of many retail chains said they will not reduce prices to the same level or lower than TGDĐ but will continue to list product prices at a reasonable profit margin.
