According to Radar Online , Katy Perry's continued controversy over her comments about contestants - most recently her tactless comments about Sara Beth Liebe - has left producers worried and frustrated. "They're considering replacing her to please the audience," the source said.

Reporters have contacted ABC, Disney, and Katy Perry for comment, but none have responded.

Recorded on social media on April 21, many comments criticized the Firework singer and asked her to leave the hot seat. Mirror quoted the audience's opinion: "I don't watch American Idol anymore, because every time Katy Perry appears, she acts rudely towards the contestants. What's going on?".

"Have you been watching American Idol lately? I just watched a few episodes. Katy is so annoying, rude and condescending," another wrote.
