Sesko is not as 'messy' as Gyokeres

As the summer transfer window heats up, agent Elvis Basanovic has made a notable statement that is believed to be aimed at Viktor Gyokeres. The Swedish striker has been criticised for his unprofessional behaviour while trying to find a way out of Sporting Lisbon.

"Even if there was a strong desire from Sesko to move to a certain team, we would never force or pressure RB Leipzig. The way you leave a club speaks volumes about your values, and you will bring those values to the next team," Basanovic told GiveMeSport.

"I believe that, no matter how big or small the deal, football needs more respect. We just do the right thing, or do nothing at all. It sounds simple, although the press can make it complicated," Sesko's agent concluded.

Basanovic's statement came as Gyokeres was accused of going on strike to leave Sporting. Club president Frederico Varandas even publicly accused the Swedish striker of "blackmailing" the team.

Sesko is also on Arsenal's radar, but has taken a completely different approach. Despite the interest, Sesko will only leave Leipzig if he receives an offer from a special club, with the right project and coach.

Leipzig are understood to value the Slovenian striker at between £68 and £85 million – a price that is believed to be beyond Arsenal’s means at the moment. Last season, Sesko scored 21 goals in all competitions, including 13 in the Bundesliga.
