The People's Committee of Kbang district (Gia Lai province) has just issued a plan to deploy a rural tourism model in Stor village (To Tung commune) in the new rural construction period 2023-2025.
Accordingly, relevant sectors in the district and the People's Committee of To Tung commune will organize surveys, select and support to form and develop typical agricultural tourism products, such as: visiting and experiencing slash-and-burn farming with indigenous crops: armored rice, bobo, rakes, wild vegetables... harvesting, preliminary processing of wild bamboo shoots, exploiting wild honey... according to the tradition of the Bahnar people. Support entities to develop typical products to participate in evaluating and certifying OCOP products, as places for tourists to visit and experience. Restore traditional occupations and festivals of the Bahnar people. Renovate and upgrade the cultural communal house of Stor village; support the construction of 5 homestays here to serve the accommodation needs of tourists... At the same time, link the construction of rural tourism with exploiting the value of the historical and cultural relics of Stor Resistance Village and Nup Hero Memorial House...

The construction of a rural tourism model in Stor village aims to concretize Plan No. 657/KH-UBND, dated March 23, 2023 of the Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee "on implementing the Rural Tourism Development Program in building new rural areas in Gia Lai province for the period 2023-2025" and Resolution No. 07/NQ-HU, dated November 2, 2021 of the Party Executive Committee of Kbang district, term IX, on attracting investment in developing tourism types associated with service development to exploit and promote the potential and advantages of tourism in the district. Thereby attracting social resources and active participation from the community to invest in building and developing advantageous tourism products and services; contributing to shifting the rural economic structure, creating jobs on the spot, increasing income for rural workers, effectively and sustainably implementing new rural criteria in the locality.
