End of the final round of the 2023 National U19 Football Tournament: Dong A Thanh Hoa U19 team won the championship

Attending the closing ceremony were Mr. Nguyen Minh Triet - former President , Mr. Duong Van Thang - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Mr. Le Quang Chanh - Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, journalist Nguyen Cong Khe - Chairman of the Board of Directors of Thanh Nien Media Group Joint Stock Company - Head of the Organizing Committee of the 2023 National U19 Football Tournament, representatives of the Vietnam Football Federation, leaders of a number of provincial departments and branches and a large audience.

In the first half of the match, the two teams did not score. At the beginning of the second half, the Dong A Thanh Hoa team unexpectedly opened the score first. From then until the end of the second half, the Song Lam Nghe An strikers tried to attack but could not equalize the score. The final result was that the Dong A Thanh Hoa U19 team won 1-0 against the Song Lam Nghe An U19 team.

After the match, the U19 Dong A Thanh Hoa team was awarded the championship cup, gold medal and a prize of 100 million VND. This is the first time this team has achieved the highest ranking at the National U19 Tournament. The U19 Song Lam Nghe An team had to accept the runner-up position with a silver medal and a prize of 80 million VND.

In addition, 3 players from Dong A Thanh Hoa won individual awards, including: Le Anh Tuan won the Best Goalkeeper award; Ha Minh Duc won the Top Scorer award with 5 goals in the tournament; Nguyen Ngoc My was awarded the Best Player award. The Hanoi U19 team won the Style Award. The organizing committee also awarded the best team of 11 outstanding players in the tournament.

The final round of the 2023 National U19 Football Tournament has 12 participating teams. The tournament started from April 22 to May 4 at Tay Ninh Stadium and Tay Ninh Sports Training and Competition Center. After nearly 2 weeks of competition, the tournament ended successfully. The tournament showed that there are many young talents with great potential to be added to the national team in the near future.
