(Haiphong.gov.vn) - On the morning of September 11, at To Hieu Political School, Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics in coordination with Hai Phong City Party Committee organized the Opening Ceremony of the Training Course, updating knowledge for cadres planning to be members of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, members of the Executive Committee of the Hai Phong City Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term. Attending were comrades: Le Tien Chau, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the City Party Committee; Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Manh Hung, Assistant to the Politburo member, Director of Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics; Do Manh Hien, Standing Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee; Bui Duc Quang, Vice Chairman of the City People's Council; Hoang Minh Cuong, Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee.

The class was attended by 75 comrades who are planning members of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, members of the City Party Executive Committee for the 2025-2030 term. The class was held for 6 days (from September 11, 2023 to September 16, 2023) with 12 topics introduced by a team of experts, leading scientists with extensive experience from the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and leaders and former leaders of Hai Phong city. Notably, right after the opening ceremony, the class was directly taught by the Secretary of the City Party Committee, demonstrating the close attention of the city's leaders, especially the Secretary of the City Party Committee personally, to this class.

The topics presented in the class were carefully selected, all of which are issues related to the focus of the students' work, such as: Local management and leadership skills; vision, goals and orientations for national development until the mid-21st century and their application to local development practices; Ho Chi Minh's thoughts and our Party's thoughts on preventing ideological, political, moral and lifestyle degradation and manifestations of "self-evolution" and "self-transformation"; improving the Party's leadership and governing capacity in new conditions...

The training course aims to form a vision and strategic thinking for the planned comrades; equip them with knowledge of theory, practice and working skills; raise awareness of political ideology, leadership and management capacity; train ethics, style and sense of responsibility in performing public duties of leaders and managers in response to the requirements of the cause of building and developing the city.

The training and knowledge update course opened today continues to be a vivid demonstration of the close and effective coordination between the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics and the Hai Phong City Party Committee in training and fostering cadres, contributing to improving theoretical level, updating knowledge, and perfecting basic skills for the team of leaders and managers at all levels and sectors in the city.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Secretary of the City Party Committee Le Tien Chau and Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Manh Hung requested that the trainees should promote a sense of responsibility, self-awareness in studying, arrange work at agencies and units scientifically and reasonably to focus on participating in the training class; strictly follow the rules and regulations throughout the training period; concentrate on absorbing and learning the knowledge and skills imparted by the lecturers. Each trainee must actively self-study and research according to the suggestions and guidance of the lecturers, research documents, expand knowledge, receive information, make contacts, and find ways to apply the knowledge that has been equipped to the practical work of their locality and unit. At the same time, the Organizing Committee of the class should closely monitor the class management, closely follow the situation of the class to promptly grasp arising issues and difficulties, and advise on timely solutions.
