Opening of the 2025-2026 school year online nationwide

On August 15, the Department of Education and Training (DET) issued a plan to organize the opening ceremony of the 2025-2026 school year and celebrate the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Ministry of National Education (now the Ministry of Education and Training).

Accordingly, on the morning of September 5, all educational institutions (both public and non-public) in the province held opening ceremonies at the same time as the celebration of the 80th anniversary of the establishment of the Ministry of National Education and the opening of the 2025-2026 school year of the Ministry of Education and Training at the National Convention Center (Hanoi). The ceremony was broadcast live on VTV1 channel of Vietnam Television, connecting online to educational institutions nationwide via television waves and transmission infrastructure provided by the telecommunications unit.

The Department of Education and Training requests that planned activities of educational institutions (if any) be organized concisely and end before 8:00 a.m. From 8:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m., all delegates, teachers, students, and pupils fully participate in the contents of the program organized by the Ministry of Education and Training. Including performing the flag-raising ceremony, singing the National Anthem at the same time as the flag-raising ceremony at the National Convention Center; listening to General Secretary To Lam's speech, and beating the drum to open the school year.

The Department of Education and Training requests that educational institutions organize a solemn, meaningful, practical, economical opening ceremony that has a wide impact on the entire industry and society. At the same time, ensure the conditions of facilities, arrange adequate equipment and transmission lines for online connection; have backup plans in case of power outages or bad weather; ensure traffic safety, security and order, and prevent fires and explosions during the opening ceremony and the celebration.
