Opening of the Sports Tournament "Celebrating the Party, Celebrating Spring of the Year of the Dragon"

On February 28, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism held the opening ceremony of the "Celebrating the Party, Celebrating the Year of the Dragon" Sports Tournament.

The tournament had 14 teams with more than 200 athletes from departments, branches, organizations, districts and cities in the province, participating in the following events: Chinese chess, tug of war (taking place at the provincial Temple of Literature), and traditional wrestling (taking place in Dong Van commune, Yen Lac district).

The tournament took place in a lively and intense atmosphere, giving the audience top-notch and eye-catching performances. The tournament took place over 2 days, from February 28-29.

The tournament is organized to celebrate the 94th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam (February 3, 1930 - February 3, 2024), the New Year of the Dragon 2024, and the 78th anniversary of Vietnam Sports Day (March 27, 1946 - March 27, 2024).

Through the tournament, it contributes to meeting the needs of healthy entertainment, improving the cultural and spiritual life of the people; promoting the development of the mass sports movement in the province, actively responding to the campaign "All people exercise following the example of great Uncle Ho".
