Opening of the 2025 National Youth Athletics Championships

The 2025 National Youth Athletics Championship is an annual event, creating a healthy playground, encouraging and promoting the athletics movement among the masses, especially the youth.

At the same time, it is a meaningful activity to carry out the Campaign "All people exercise following the example of great Uncle Ho" and the Movement "All people unite to build a cultural life", building an advanced Vietnamese culture imbued with national identity.

Accordingly, the tournament has the participation of 968 officials, coaches, athletes from provinces, cities, and sectors across the country. Athletes compete in 86 sets of medals and the whole delegation in 3 age groups (age group 2012 - 2013, age group 2010 - 2011, age group 2008 - 2009) with competition events such as running, high jump, long jump, shot put, discus throw, javelin throw, walking, triple jump...

At the Opening Ceremony, Mr. Tran Manh Hung, Director of Lai Chau Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism emphasized that the tournament is a great opportunity. Introduce and promote beautiful images of nature, culture and people of Lai Chau to all domestic and foreign tourists, thereby contributing to attracting investors, building Lai Chau into a safe and attractive destination, creating favorable conditions for the development of tourism in Lai Chau.

Therefore, the Organizing Committee hopes that athletes and each tourist will be an ambassador to help Lai Chau convey the message that Lai Chau is an attractive, safe, friendly and hospitable destination. Lai Chau is ready to welcome tourists and investors from all over the country to explore , enjoy and cooperate, invest in building and developing Lai Chau land to become more and more beautiful, commensurate with the potential that nature has bestowed and the tradition of diligence, creativity and overcoming difficulties of Lai Chau people.

For the tournament to be successful, the Organizing Committee hopes that the athletes will bring all their talents and enthusiasm to compete and achieve the best results. In addition, the agencies and units assigned to the task need to uphold the sense of responsibility, coordinate to prepare good service conditions, ensure security and safety during the tournament.

This is also the first time Lai Chau province has hosted the National Youth Athletics Championship in 2025. The activities contribute to promoting the effectiveness of Lai Chau province's sports institutions, creating favorable conditions for Lai Chau's young athletes to compete and improve their achievements. The team of officials, officials, referees, and coaches are directly involved in organizing national sports tournaments.
