Opening of the 35th session - Provincial People's Council, term XI: Deciding on some important contents on economy and society

BTO-This morning (June 24), at the Hall of the Provincial Border Guard Command, the 35th session (special session) of the 11th term Binh Thuan Provincial People's Council (PPC) opened. Comrades: Nguyen Hoai Anh - Alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Tieu Hong Phuc - Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, Nguyen Thi Thuan Bich - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council chaired the session.

Attending the meeting were comrade Do Huu Huy - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Vice Chairmen of the Provincial People's Committee; relevant departments, branches and 38/46 delegates of the Provincial People's Council.

Speaking at the opening of the session, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Nguyen Hoai Anh emphasized that at the 35th session, the Provincial People's Council will consider and decide on the approval of the 2024 budget settlement and decide on 14 other important contents submitted by the Provincial People's Committee under the authority of the Provincial People's Council. The contents submitted at the session were directed by the Provincial People's Committee with a spirit of urgency and responsibility. The Provincial People's Council Committees have thoroughly examined the contents of the examination, with high criticality, clarifying issues of concern, and closely following the reality of the province. Therefore, the session chair requested the Provincial People's Council delegates to uphold their sense of responsibility, promote democracy, concentrate their intelligence, discuss democratically, and actively contribute to the contents submitted by the Provincial People's Committee.

Overview of the meeting.

As planned, the 35th session of the Provincial People's Council will take place on June 24. The contents to be considered and approved include: Funding support in 2023 for the Provincial People's Court to perform assigned tasks; Approval of the 2024 provincial budget settlement; Adjustment and supplementation of the central budget's medium-term public investment capital plan for the period 2021 - 2025 to implement the National Target Program on New Rural Development in the province; Adjustment of the 2025 civil servant payroll of a number of agencies and administrative organizations under the Provincial People's Committee assigned in Resolution No. 08/NQ-HDND dated February 20, 2025 of the Provincial People's Council.

At this session, the Provincial People's Council also gave opinions on the Pre-Feasibility Study Report on the investment project for the road from Le Duan - Truong Chinh intersection to the expressway interchange and the land fund on both sides of the road; Adjusting and supplementing the price of medical examination and treatment services of Binh Thuan Provincial General Hospital; Transferring sources and adjusting the central budget capital plan for 2024 and allocating the central budget capital plan for 2025 to implement the National Target Program on socio -economic development of ethnic minority and mountainous areas in the province...

The Provincial People's Council also agreed to consider and decide on the draft resolutions on: Decision on the policy of changing the purpose of forest use to other purposes to implement the DT.719B Coastal Axis Project, Hon Lan - Tan Hai section to ensure the progress of the project, contributing to the completion of a synchronous and interconnected traffic network to connect the DT.719B route with the coastal DT.719 route; meeting the transportation needs, economic development of the region and security - defense; creating a driving force to promote the socio-economic development of Ham Thuan Nam district, La Gi town and neighboring localities.

On the other hand, adjusting the expected medium-term public investment plan for the period 2026 - 2030 according to Resolution No. 101/NQ-HDND dated December 5, 2024 of the Provincial People's Council. The reason is to have a sufficient basis to approve the investment policy of 2 key projects of the province, resulting in an increase in the total investment compared to the expected total investment according to Resolution No. 101/NQHDND dated December 5, 2024 of the Provincial People's Council. Adjusting the medium-term public investment plan for the period 2021 - 2025 from the provincial budget. The reason is to speed up the implementation progress and disbursement of the medium-term public investment plan for the period 2021 - 2025 from the provincial budget.
