As part of the Ho Chi Minh City Digital Transformation 2023 activities with the theme "Exploiting digital data, successful digital transformation", in response to National Digital Transformation Day October 10, on October 17, the Department of Information and Communications of Ho Chi Minh City in coordination with the State Bank of Vietnam , Banking Times, Ho Chi Minh City Informatics Association organized the event "Ho Chi Minh City Digital Transformation Festival 2023".
The event took place on October 17 and 18 at Tan Son Nhat Pavillon (Phu Nhuan District), including an exhibition introducing digital transformation models and solutions of businesses and government agencies in Ho Chi Minh City.

In his opening speech, Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Duong Anh Duc said that through activities in the Ho Chi Minh City Digital Transformation Week such as: Welcoming the digital transformation day in the printing and publishing sector; Exhibition and conference on Technology to improve life 2023; Artificial Intelligence Challenge (AI Challenge) ..., the city hopes to raise awareness among people and businesses about the importance of digital transformation, contributing to effective socio-economic development. At the same time, the city will speed up the implementation of tasks and effectively implement the Ho Chi Minh City Digital Transformation program; National Data Year 2023.

According to the report of the Department of Information and Communications of Ho Chi Minh City, in 2023, digital transformation has achieved certain results. The city has put into operation the information system for handling public administrative procedures (HCMC TTHC), merged the Public Service Portal and the city's electronic one-stop shop), connected the citizen identification system according to Project 06.
Completed the setup of 1,590 administrative procedures in the digital environment, officially deployed 635/740 online public services, the amount of fees paid online was 13,354,809,601 VND. In addition, the city also implemented a program to issue free digital signatures to 469,603 people; connected shared data with ministries and branches, connected to the national public service portal...
To promote digital transformation in online public services, the city has implemented many synchronous solutions such as reviewing, restructuring, and issuing public and transparent administrative procedures to people and businesses. Completing the public service system, aiming to increase the experience to increase convenience for people and businesses.
Currently, Ho Chi Minh City is focusing on building and developing 3 main data groups including: Data group serving urban management and planning; Data group related to people's information; Data group on economic and financial development.
Regarding non-cash payment activities (TTKDTM) in public services in Ho Chi Minh City, many outstanding results have been achieved. Almost 100% of state agencies such as health, education, insurance, and customs have deployed TTKDTM; 8/9 traditional markets have deployed TTKDTM.
Level 4 online public services in the city have reached over 30%, and are aiming to lead the country in e-commerce. Currently, the city is building an online payment system for district hospitals with the goal of creating convenience for people and saving costs.

Regarding the banking industry, Deputy Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam Pham Tien Dung stated that analyzing, exploiting, and connecting data between units is a decisive factor in the success of the process of promoting e-commerce and digital transformation in the banking industry.
The State Bank of Vietnam and banks and payment intermediary organizations have been actively deploying applications, connecting, sharing and exploiting population data information in all business activities to promote the development of e-commerce, thereby promoting the digital transformation process throughout the economy.
“In the coming time, the State Bank will focus on perfecting policies on connection and data exploitation; ensuring that banking application systems operate effectively and have the ability to connect and integrate with other systems, especially in the public administration sector. In addition, it will focus on strengthening the work of ensuring safety and security of information for users and continue to conduct propaganda to improve knowledge and skills for users, Deputy Governor of the State Bank Pham Tien Dung emphasized.
