The exhibition is an activity to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the first General Election to elect the National Assembly of Vietnam (January 6, 1946 - January 6, 2026) and summarize the activities of the National Assembly Delegation of Ho Chi Minh City, term XV, 2021 - 2026.
Attending the opening ceremony were former Politburo member, former Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Nguyen Thien Nhan; Member of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Delegation of the 15th National Assembly of Ho Chi Minh City Nguyen Van Loi; Member of the Party Central Committee, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Nguyen Thanh Nghi.
Also attending the opening ceremony were central agencies, armed forces, National Assembly deputies of different periods and a large number of people and voters of the city.
More than 100 images recreate the 80-year journey of the National Assembly
At Nguyen Hue Street (intersection with Hai Trieu Street, Saigon Ward) and Dong Khoi Street (in front of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism), the exhibition displays more than 100 selected documentary images, reflecting the formation, development and contributions of the Vietnamese National Assembly over the past 80 years.
The exhibition recreates the historical milestone of January 6, 1946 - the first General Election of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam, as a major turning point, demonstrating the affirmation of the people's right to mastery.
Since then, the Vietnamese National Assembly has continuously innovated and actively contributed to the struggle for independence and national reunification, as well as to the construction and development of the country in peacetime.
Many images at the exhibition honor outstanding National Assembly deputies of all periods - those who have represented the voices and aspirations of voters nationwide, contributing to promoting the legislative process, supervising and deciding on important national issues.
"Imprints of the 2021-2026 term" of the Ho Chi Minh City National Assembly Delegation
At the same time, on Dong Khoi Street (opposite Chi Lang Park), a photo exhibition with the theme "Ho Chi Minh City National Assembly Delegation - Imprints of the 2021-2026 term" was also officially opened for visitors.
The exhibition introduces 50 outstanding images, recording the activities of the Ho Chi Minh City National Assembly Delegation during the past term. The content demonstrates a high sense of responsibility and innovation in working methods.
The delegation actively supervised the implementation of laws in the locality; promoted the implementation of digital government, reformed administrative procedures; effectively implemented voter contact work, promptly conveyed and resolved petitions, and ensured the legitimate rights and interests of the people.
Monitoring and survey activities focus on issues of concern to voters, problems with mechanisms, policies and laws, thereby contributing to promoting economic , cultural and social development of Ho Chi Minh City and the whole country.
The exhibition will run until August 17, 2025 at three locations: Nguyen Hue Street, Dong Khoi Street (in front of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism) and Dong Khoi Street (opposite Chi Lang Park).
This is a meaningful cultural and political activity, contributing to widely promoting to the people of Ho Chi Minh City the role, position and contribution of the Vietnamese National Assembly in the cause of national development.
