Urgently upgrade Cao Lanh - Lo Te road, total investment of 950 billion VND
The Ministry of Transport has just issued a document requesting the My Thuan Project Management Board to organize the implementation of the investment project to upgrade the Cao Lanh - Lo Te route in Dong Thap province and Can Tho city to reorganize traffic.

The document stated that on January 12, 2024, the Ministry of Transport issued a document on accelerating investment preparation progress and urgently completing procedures to start projects using medium-term public investment capital for the period 2021 - 2025. Including the investment project to upgrade the Cao Lanh - Lo Te route in Dong Thap province and Can Tho city to reorganize traffic.
Up to now, My Thuan Project Management Board has approved the results of selecting contractors for construction packages according to its authority.
Based on relevant regulations, in order to ensure the management and monitoring of project implementation according to regulations, the Ministry of Transport requests the project management unit to urgently coordinate with the locality to organize the implementation of site clearance and handover of the site to the construction contractor to ensure compliance with the construction progress of the project.
"My Thuan Project Management Board checks the conditions for construction implementation according to regulations, establishes a construction management system; checks the mobilization and arrangement of human resources and equipment of the supervision consultant and construction contractor according to the requirements of the contract. At the same time, conducts inspection and approval of the overall construction progress and details of the construction items prepared by the contractor to ensure that they are consistent with the contract implementation time and the overall progress of the approved project", the Ministry of Transport directed.
The Cao Lanh - Lo Te route upgrade project has a total length of nearly 29km. The starting point is at An Binh intersection (intersecting with National Highway 30 at Km 31+103), in An Binh commune, Cao Lanh district, Dong Thap province. The end point connects with Lo Te - Rach Soi route, in Can Tho city. The total investment of the project is 950 billion VND from the state budget in the medium-term public investment plan for the period 2021 - 2025. The project is expected to be completed in 2025.
The project is invested to improve traffic capacity, meet transportation needs on the western longitudinal axis of the region, and promote the effectiveness of investment projects in the Mekong Delta region.
