( Bqp.vn ) - On the afternoon of October 10th, the 86th Command held a ceremony to inaugurate its new Command Headquarters. General Nguyen Tan Cuong, Member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, Member of the Standing Committee of the Central Military Commission, Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army, and Deputy Minister of National Defense , attended and directed the ceremony.

General Nguyen Tan Cuong and other delegates cut the ribbon to inaugurate the headquarters of the 86th Command.

Attending the ceremony were Lieutenant General Huynh Chien Thang, Member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army; and representatives from the leadership of functional agencies of the Ministry of National Defense and the General Staff.

Speaking at the ceremony, Lieutenant General Nguyen Tan Cuong commended the achievements of the 86th Command in the past period, as well as the efforts and determination in coordinating the construction of the project according to plan and achieving the set objectives and requirements. Lieutenant General Nguyen Tan Cuong emphasized that the inauguration of the 86th Command Headquarters is an important event, marking the development of the Command and contributing to the modernization of the Army.

In the coming period, to effectively fulfill the unit's functions and tasks, Lieutenant General Nguyen Tan Cuong requested that the Party Committee and Command of the 86th Command thoroughly understand and effectively implement the Party's guidelines, the State's policies and laws, and the Resolutions and instructions of the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defense on the implementation of military and national defense tasks and the strategy of protecting the Fatherland in the new situation, worthy of being the core force in protecting the Fatherland in cyberspace.
