Inauguration of the "Support to go to school" house for poor students in Vu Thu district

Continuing the series of activities to support poor students and responding to the peak emulation campaign "300 days of joining hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses" across the province, on the afternoon of June 9, Thai Binh Newspaper, the Provincial Red Cross Society, and the Department of Education and Training held the inauguration ceremony of the "Support to School" house for Dao Duy Thai, in Tien Phong village, Vu Van commune (Vu Thu).

The house of the program "Supporting students to school" supporting Dao Duy Thai, in Tien Phong village, Vu Van commune (Vu Thu) was inaugurated after 3 months of construction.

Dao Duy Thai is 12 years old. Both of his parents are in poor health. The family depends on his mother’s street vendor, but she often has to go to the hospital. The old house where his family lives is seriously degraded and is not safe during the rainy season.

Sharing the situation of Dao Duy Thai, Thai Binh Newspaper, the Provincial Red Cross and the Departmentof Education and Training have allocated 100 million VND from the “Supporting Schooling” fund to give his family to build a new house. After 3 months of construction, the spacious and solid house with an area of over 50 square meters has been completed. This is the motivation for Dao Duy Thai to continue to strive to change his current difficult life.

2025 is the 8th year that the program "Tiep suc den truong" has broadcast reports calling for help for poor students. Each student in the program will immediately receive 5 million VND in cash when filming and many meaningful gifts on the occasion of the new school year or holidays. By June 2025, the "Tiep suc den truong" fund had allocated more than 6.5 billion VND to give gifts to poor students and nearly 5.3 billion VND to support poor students to build new houses.
