Conclusion of Deputy Prime Minister Mai Van Chinh at the meeting to listen to the report on the Project "Internationalization of Vietnamese culture and Vietnamization of international culture"

The Government Office has just issued Document No. 299/TB-VPCP dated June 11, 2025 announcing the Conclusion of Deputy Prime Minister Mai Van Chinh at the meeting to listen to the report on the Project "Internationalization of Vietnamese culture and Vietnamization of international culture".

Accordingly, on June 5, 2025, at the Government Headquarters, Deputy Prime Minister Mai Van Chinh chaired a meeting to listen to a report on the Project "Internationalization of Vietnamese culture and Vietnamization of international culture". Attending the meeting were Comrade Nguyen Van Hung, Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism; leaders of the Ministries of Foreign Affairs, Ethnicity and Religion, Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences and representatives of the Ministries and agencies: Public Security; Construction, Home Affairs; Industry and Trade; Finance; Central Propaganda and Education Commission; Central Policy and Strategy Commission and the Government Office .

Deputy Prime Minister Mai Van Chinh chaired a meeting to give opinions on the Project of Internationalizing Vietnamese Culture and Vietnamizing International Culture.

After listening to the report of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the opinions of the delegates attending the meeting, Deputy Prime Minister Mai Van Chinh concluded as follows:

Acknowledging and appreciating the proactiveness and positivity of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and relevant agencies in seriously implementing the tasks assigned by the Politburo. The preparation work was carried out meticulously and methodically, with in-depth research and extensive consultation, demonstrating a proactive spirit and high determination in realizing the Party's policy on international cultural integration. The initial results of the Project were assessed positively, with the basic content closely following the assigned tasks.

  Minister Nguyen Van Hung chaired a national workshop to discuss solutions to promote international cultural integration.

The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism shall preside over and coordinate with relevant ministries and agencies to: Fully absorb comments and suggestions at the meeting, promptly complete the Project and related documents; closely follow the direction and orientation of the Politburo and the Prime Minister in determining the name of the Project, ensuring accuracy in content, consistent with the viewpoints and directions of the Politburo and the Prime Minister on international integration in the cultural field and selectively absorb the quintessence of human culture, consistent with national identity.

Review and complete the content, evaluate the current situation and achievements of international cultural integration in recent times; clarify typical models and initiatives, and fully analyze the shortcomings, difficulties and challenges. On that basis, update and forecast the situation, determine the goals and key tasks of the Project in accordance with the requirements, ensuring feasibility and breakthroughs; supplement orientations and targets until 2045, ensuring consistency with the cultural development strategy and the country's sustainable development goals; study and propose the form of the Politburo's directive documents in accordance with the content and nature of the Project.

The Ministries of Foreign Affairs, Public Security, Construction, Home Affairs, Industry and Trade, Ethnic Minorities and Religions and relevant agencies urgently study and have official written comments on the content of the draft Project, send them to the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism before June 12, 2025 to synthesize, receive, and complete the dossier according to regulations, ensuring quality and progress for submission to competent authorities for consideration and decision.
