(TBTCO) – VIMC – ARIES Shipping Joint Venture Company Limited (VIMC – ARIES Shipping) is a strategic joint venture between Vietnam National Shipping Lines (VIMC) and Aries Energy Group, one of the leading maritime enterprises from Greece. Licensed to operate from March 24, 2025, the company marks an important step in elevating Vietnam's logistics and maritime transport services, towards the international market.
VIMC and Aries have had a long-standing cooperative relationship in the maritime sector. Previously, the two sides signed Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) on cooperation in 2016 and 2019. |
The establishment of the joint venture takes place in the context of the global shipping industry witnessing strong changes, with increasing demand for professional freight transport services.
The cooperation between two "giants" of the maritime industry from Vietnam and Greece not only demonstrates strategic vision but also opens up many opportunities for development and extensive cooperation in the future.
With the mission of becoming an important bridge to bring Vietnamese maritime services to the international market. VIMC – ARIES Shipping focuses on 3 main areas: ship brokerage, freight transport services and logistics management consulting.
With the combined strength of Aries' global network and VIMC's strategic seaport system, this joint venture promises to bring optimal maritime transport solutions to customers.
Leaders of VIMC - ARIES Shipping visited and worked with Mr. Phan Dinh Trac - Member of the Politburo , Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Internal Affairs Commission.
One of the factors that makes VIMC – ARIES Shipping different is its experienced leadership team. Mr. Gabriel Petridis, representative of Aries Group and a veteran captain, came directly to Vietnam in April 2025 to direct the construction of the operating apparatus.
In addition, VIMC has also assigned key staff to participate in managing the joint venture, a move that demonstrates strong commitment from both sides, aiming at the goal of developing the joint venture sustainably, expanding cooperation opportunities, and building a solid foundation for long-term development.
