According to the cooperation agreement, BIDV commits to strengthening the provision of comprehensive financial solutions, modern banking services, and allocating necessary resources to support VIMC in its investment and business development plans. This is considered a strategic move, expected to open up new growth opportunities, enhance competitiveness, and aim for sustainable development for both parties.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Phan Duc Tu, Chairman of the Board of Directors of BIDV, affirmed BIDV's commitment to accompanying VIMC and its member units. BIDV will provide a comprehensive range of modern banking products and services, meeting all capital needs, integrated services, and optimal financial solutions. In particular, in the coming period, BIDV will dedicate its best resources and play a leading role in arranging capital for key projects and effective business plans of VIMC.

On behalf of VIMC, Mr. Nguyen Canh Tinh, Chairman of the Board of Directors, expressed his confidence that the comprehensive cooperation agreement would help both entities maximize their strengths, effectively exploit their potential, bring practical benefits, and enhance competitiveness. He also pledged that VIMC would closely cooperate with BIDV, working together towards the goal of prosperous and sustainable development of the country.

Within the framework of the program, to realize the cooperation agreement, the Cau Giay Branch of BIDV and VIMC Container Transport Joint Stock Company (VIMC Lines) signed a memorandum of understanding on financing ship investment projects. This is an important prerequisite for the implementation of specific and effective cooperation projects in the future.

With BIDV being the oldest commercial bank and having the largest total assets in Vietnam (nearly 3 trillion VND as of June 30, 2025), and VIMC being a key enterprise in the maritime industry with three core areas (seaports, shipping, and maritime services), the signing of this comprehensive cooperation agreement is a significant milestone.

The agreement not only affirms the leading position of the two enterprises but also opens up prospects for strong and sustainable growth in financial and maritime activities, thereby making a positive contribution to the socio-economic development of the country.
