According to the cooperation agreement, BIDV commits to promote the provision of comprehensive financial solutions, modern banking services and arrange necessary resources to accompany VIMC in its investment and business development plans. This is considered a strategic step, expected to open up new growth space, enhance competitive position and aim for sustainable development goals for both parties.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Phan Duc Tu, Chairman of BIDV Board of Directors, affirmed BIDV's commitment to accompany VIMC and its member units. BIDV will provide a full package of modern banking products and services, comprehensively meeting capital needs, integrated services and optimal financial solutions. In particular, in the coming period, BIDV will devote the best resources and play the role of a focal point in arranging capital for key projects and effective business plans of VIMC.

On VIMC’s side, Mr. Nguyen Canh Tinh, Chairman of the Board of Directors, expressed his belief that the comprehensive cooperation agreement will help the two units maximize their strengths, effectively exploit their potential, bring practical benefits and enhance their competitiveness. He also pledged that VIMC will closely accompany BIDV, together towards the goal of prosperous and sustainable development of the country.

Within the framework of the program, to realize the cooperation agreement, BIDV Cau Giay Branch and VIMC Container Shipping Joint Stock Company (VIMC Lines) signed a principle agreement on financing ship investment projects. This is an important premise for implementing specific and effective cooperation projects in the coming time.

With BIDV being the oldest commercial bank with the largest total assets in Vietnam (nearly VND 3 quadrillion as of June 30, 2025), and VIMC being a key enterprise in the maritime industry with 3 core areas (seaports, shipping and maritime services), the signing of this comprehensive cooperation agreement is an important milestone.

The agreement not only affirms the position of two leading enterprises but also opens up prospects for strong and sustainable growth in financial and maritime activities, thereby actively contributing to the socio-economic development of the country.
