On the morning of November 12th, the Project Management Board for Investment, Construction and Urban Development of the city - the investor of the Mai Market - Tan My Road project - announced that it is continuing to monitor and require the construction unit, Minh Dat General Construction Co., Ltd., to remove all weathered stone used for leveling that does not meet quality standards from the construction site.
According to our reporter's observations, on the morning of the same day, the construction unit used excavators and trucks to remove and level the weathered rock layer on the right-hand sidewalk and median strip of Mai Market - Tan My road. A representative of the construction contractor stated that in the past few days, their unit had removed approximately 300 cubic meters of weathered soil and rock from the construction site.
Mr. Dang Quang Ngoc, Deputy Director of the City's Investment, Construction and Urban Development Project Management Board, informed that officials have been assigned to supervise the process of transporting weathered rock out of the construction site, and the investor is preparing a report to be submitted to the City People's Committee regarding the remediation process and the removal of substandard leveling materials from the project area.
As reported by Hue Today Newspaper , during an inspection of the construction site of the Mai Market - Tan My Road project (My Thuong ward, Hue City), the consulting and supervision unit and the investor discovered that the fill soil transported to the construction site contained weathered rocks, which did not meet quality standards. Therefore, they drew up a report, requested the contractor to rectify the problem, and remove the soil from the construction site.
The use of weathered rock for backfilling the road shoulders and median strips of Mai Market - Tan My road does not guarantee sufficient durability, raising concerns about the quality of the construction. Furthermore, the use of weathered rock in backfilling these areas shows signs of not meeting the required standards for construction soil.
